Message from Ed Futa General Secretary Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation

Dear Fellow Rotarians:
As you begin a new Rotary Year,I encourage you to recall the reasons you first joined your Rotary Club,Did you join for the fellowship,or perhaps to engage in professional camaraderie?May be you wanted to participate in service projects happening in your own community.Or possibly ,you were intrigued by the idea of working with other Rotarian to participate in activities that promote international understanding.

Members join for many different reasons, but whatever initial reason you might have had, each Rotarian shares in a deep commitment to Service Above Self. This idea has drawn clubs in every corner of the world. It is this precise shared characteristic of service that truly binds all 1.2 million Rotarians working together in clubs and districts across the globe.

Rotary is an exceptional organization whose members do extra ordinary things every day.Keep talking about Rotary and tell your own story.Encourage others to get involved and join your efforts.Do what you can to help your club achieve its goals.Working together, your club can leave a meaningful mark this Rotary year.

Sincerely,

Ed Futa
General Secretary
Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation
